Igniting their curiosity. Unlocking their potential. Shaping their future.

At The Moreton Bay Colleges Kindergarten, highly qualified teachers ignite your child's passion for learning.

The start of an exciting journey

The start of an exciting journey

Our students engage in a rich, inquiry-based programme that encourages children to investigate and learn about the world around them.

A range of learning experiences are delivered through intentional teaching opportunities and hands-on, play-based experiences. The learning programme is a child-centred approach, with educators planning for and observing children, identify opportunities to challenge and engage them in small groups and individually.

Your child's strengths and interests become the focus of our educators' observations, and they work with the child, families, and other specialist teachers to collaboratively plan for natural inquiry, providing resources and support where necessary so that your child is guided through their own wonderings and learning.

Join a thriving community

Join a thriving community

Kindergarten is a stepping stone to Prep at Moreton Bay Boys' College, or Moreton Bay College

The Kindergarten programme is full time, and operates from 8.30am - 2.30pm five days a week. As such, the same children attend class each day, so your child sees familiar faces and has a settled routine. This journey is also important for families, as parents build connections with each other, and become lifelong friends as their children progress through their Moreton Bay Colleges journey together.

Belonging to a caring and respectful community builds confidence and trust for children and their families.

Mrs Kelle Adams | Kindergarten Teacher

Kelle has a Bachelor of Education specialising in Early Childhood Education, working in the Early Years profession for over 30 years with experience in Long Day Care, Preschool, Prep, Year 2 and 3, and Kindergarten.

"I was inspired to become an educator by my Year 5 teacher, who taught us how to play the recorder. She was a positive influence in the classroom, and always encouraged the students to do their best. I decided to become a teacher and found Early Childhood education was my passion.

I am passionate about nature play in the early years and embedding Indigenous Perspectives into the program. I engage children in projects of interest to them and enhance the Reggio Emilio approach in our learning spaces.

My greatest hope for my students is for them to show curiosity and enthusiasm for learning at Kindergarten and become confident life-long learners who are willing to try everything."

We are excited to share with you the expansion of our current Early Learning Precinct

We have been working closely alongside the architects, Bickerton Masters, to create a space that is strongly connected to the land and influenced by the Italian Reggio Emilia approach.

Our new Kindergarten learning spaces will seamlessly blend the inside and outside learning environment, with a child-centred, inquiry approach that fosters children’s agency in a flexible learning space.

The design also offers a purpose-built Atelier (art studio) and a kitchen garden space. The children will be able to explore, discover, create and engage with the world around them.
