The Moreton Bay College Aquatic Centre

Run out of the John Mason Pool swimming complex, The Moreton Bay College Swimming programme is run by Head Coach of Swimming, Shaun Crow, a leading coach with extensive experience in Australia and the United States. Shaun Crow is a level 2 NCA Coach.

Learn to swim and Training Squad programmes are offered to both students and parents of MBC, as well as being available to the general community.

Training squads

MBC Swimming has several training squads, each aimed at a specific level, with progression through the levels based on our coach's expert advice. We aim to help our swimmers achieve their goals by providing a programme where they feel part of a team, and we encourage all squad swimmers to try some competitive swimming in order to further develop their skills. We also focus on skill development as a priority so that our more competitive swimmers are prepared for international competition.

Squad Programmes include:

·        Development

·        Elite Age Groupers (8 to 12 years)

·        Junior

·        Senior

·        Intermediate

Learn to swim

Learn to Swim is open to all levels of swimmer, from 3 years to adult. Learn in our fully enclosed, indoor pool set at a comfortable 32 degrees celsius all year round. Our aim is to provide a firm but caring teaching environment where all Learn to Swim students finish their lessons feeling special and with a sense of accomplishment. We help our students to progress quickly, developing vital skills along the way.  We know that after simmers complete our programme they have the skills to survive in most aquatic environments. We also hope that they will go on to make swimming a part of their future lives.
