Moreton Bay College offers Before and After School and Vacation Care for students from Prep - Year 7. Placement preference will be given to working families of MBC students. Students of MBBC and siblings of MBC students will be given next priority. We are obliged to offer any other available places to other working families in the local community.
Opening Hours
- Before School Care operates 7.00 - 9.00am, Monday to Friday during term time
- After School Care operates 2.00pm - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during term time
- Vacation Care operates 7.00am - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during MBC school holidays and pupil free days.
The OSHC Centre is closed on public holidays and for a three week block at Christmas. Please see the Co-ordinator for actual closing dates each year.
Program
Our OSHC Co-ordinator oversees all programs and ensures that activities are planned and implemented according to the children’s ages and interests. Prep and Years 1 - 2 children are grouped together in the afternoons, and the older children are other groups. The children participate in a range of fun and stimulating activities which include art, craft, games, cooking, sewing, computers and outdoor play. They are also able to do their homework and relax with their friends in a safe and comfortable environment. Children are also escorted to and from extra-curricular activities as required. No meals or snacks are provided.
Enrolment Procedures
All students attending OSHC must be registered. Registration forms are available from the OSHC Co-ordinator. All details must be completed fully and any changes to details must be notified as soon as possible.
Fees and Payments
OSHC is a user pays service and all fees are due and payable as care is provided. Families are required to calculate fees due and make the payments accordingly. All fees are to be paid to MBC Childcare on a weekly basis or in advance. Receipts are issued for all payments.
Our OSHC service has recently been approved for Child Care Benefit. All families who wish to claim the rebate will need to be registered with Centrelink/ Family Assistance Office.
Fee Schedule
OSHC fees for 2013 are as follows:
- Before School Care $7.00 per day
- After School Care $14.00 per day
- Vacation Care $39.00 per day
Any families who do not register with Centrelink will be charged full fees for all OSHC.
