Together We Are Stronger - 8 September 2016
The Moreton Bay Colleges will be acknowledged as leaders in single sex education, nurtured and guided by our common values and shared philosophy – Together we are Stronger. Our college vision very concisely defines both present practices and also describes the preferred future we are creating.
Family Fun Day - 25 August 2016
Schools should be at the centre of their community! People come together to learn, share and grow together in both our colleges. We also come together as a community to celebrate the joy of childhood in both outstanding colleges. The MBC college song describes this well when we sing;
Our days at Moreton Bay:
The problems shared, the pleasures too.
The games we lost and won.
Our work, and all the happy hours
We spent when work was done
Value added approach to NAPLAN results - 11 August 2016
In the exciting and fast paced environments of our colleges, we focus steadfastly on creating an outstanding student experience. The balance that comes from a holistic education focussed on developing Christian values are important to us. Equally important is ensuring that every child has every opportunity to achieve academically. Good quality reliable information is important to allow teachers to make the changes to their teaching in response to what a child can or cannot do.
Greene sisters metaphor of seeds - 28 July 2016
With Founders’ Week we celebrate the establishment of Moreton Bay College by the Greene sisters. Who would have known then what the Moreton Bay Colleges would become? Leaders in single sex education, august and high quality colleges with many proud achievements.
Abundance of Opportunities - 14 July 2016
The abundance of opportunities at the Moreton Bay Colleges provides our children with numerous opportunities for learning. Our children’s moral, personal and spiritual growth is just as important as their academic goals. This is encapsulated within our values as a school embedded within the Uniting Church tradition.
