Welcome to the Moreton Bay College Archives and Heritage pages. The purpose of the archives is to collect, preserve, research and exhibit those objects that will enable them to record and illustrate the history and achievements of the students, teachers and related organisations of the College.
As the 2001 Centenary Year approached, an awareness of the need to organise and record the College’s history and heritage was raised by a group of College community members. As a result, Ms Kate Lawrie, history teacher and careers counselor, was appointed as the College’s first Archivist. This part-time position was taken over by Mrs Heather Harcourt (nee Hamilton), an Old Girl of the College, in 2003.
The objects held in the archives include photographs, newspaper articles, uniforms, year books, programmes, posters, trophies, badges and many other items of historical interest.
Larger collections of photographs are available for viewing and comment on the Moreton Bay College Archives page on Facebook.
We hope you enjoy exploring the wonderful history of Moreton Bay College.
